VISION
Origin of the Vision. The school's educational proposal is inserted into the vision that God has committed to San Ignacio.
The century-old educational practice of the Society of Jesus was shaping his own style which is the fruit of that vision. Initially only carried on by the Jesuits,-men who are in the experience of God through the Spiritual Exercises, 'convey this experience as the underlying worldview all content and mode of action of this specific form of education.
College as a community. The College was conceived as a community in which all (Jesuits and lay people, students, teachers, families, alumni and staff) we educate ourselves and grow together.
The College is a place where learning creates a culture that permeates the community spirit of authentic personal encounters. This is an area where the community is the source (as there is in it), the path (as is the mode of travel: a community) and target (aim at the improvement of the community and learning to live in community: the whole society, humanity, the Kingdom of God).
The community aspect leads to make present the love of God to men, to make space for the manifestation of the Kingdom of God, His Spirit among us embodying Gospel values. For the growth of all, the school promotes maturation of faith-and community-staff with a sincere respect for freedom and the evolutionary development of each person.
The man: being for and with others. We conceive the "man" from a holistic view of the human person, open to transcendence, in search of God, through Jesus Christ and the Church. Thus, the same educational processes designed entirely in the person of its dimensions: spiritual, ethical, cognitive, affective, community, aesthetics, and socio-political body.
It always tends to seek the best of the wealth of each individual but in order to the Community dimension, and that the whole is greater than the part. In this sense, management is looking for a quality education in their processes and outcomes. And from this vision is proposed Ignatian magis and leadership "to love and serve all" in the context of the mission of the Church in the Nation which we live. We are men for others and with others.
People to people. Facing the challenges of the XXI Century Argentina want to help through education to build communities of faith, transforming its members to be just people to be responsible citizens and creative that will realize the dignity of the human person, the defense of life from its origin, ethical and political coexistence in the democratic and peace in justice and solidarity.
Our vision appreciates the effort of conquest slowly and each person's daily manifested in the daily study, reflection and critical thinking, responsible participation through dialogue, friendship, mutual respect, reconciliation, the social apostolate and community service.
MISSION
"We are Christian men for others and with others."
The College of the Immaculate assumed the task of education as a share in the apostolic mission of the Society of Jesus, as part of the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church. Therefore offers in the city of Santa Fe, with a clear Christian and Ignatian inspiration, a model of integral education, humanizing, personalizing and personalized. We aspire to a quality education bearer of values, human and Christian deeply committed to the society.
The public education system participated privately run offering the service at all three levels. We tariffs reduction programs (scholarships) to help families cope with socio-economic difficulties and access to education of their choice.
We conceive the educational community college as rooted in the history of the city of Santa Fe and the country, promoting the love of one's own cultural tradition through concrete experiences of closeness and appreciation of it and so from a deep appreciation of the proper, opened to meet the diverse and plural.
For our four hundred year old historical background, share with all members of our spiritual heritage, culture and education, and we put the service of our city and our country.
As a Catholic school, inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ tried to enable a dialogue between faith and culture through our educational proposal. Inculturating the Gospel, we discover and help discover the seeds of the Word in today's culture. Education today is to educate the world of global culture, new technologies, the social and productive, and get in critical dialogue on faith.
The College of the Immaculate Conception, as the College of the Society of Jesus, aware that it is not possible the service of faith without promoting justice, seeking an understanding of cultures and interfaith communication opening, the College wishes to make a field dialog, which is broadcast history critically.
For the School Educational Project, attentive to what St. Ignatius said, is not much to know what matters, but also feeling, knowing and learning for. The quality of education you must register, then, in a theology and ethics of ends and means, always subordinate to the glory of God, which is the good of the human person.
In this society of knowledge, science, technology and media are areas of new literacies and development of different skills in our students. Recognizing the need for these changes, warn, however, its possible degeneration into boundless competitiveness and individualism that creates new boundaries of exclusion and suffering, if not taught and learn in a moral context. Therefore we are committed to the training of competent people, but not competitive individualism with a sense of perfection, searching for the magis, with and for others.
Ignatian Pedagogy Project inspires and nourishes our Institutional Education seeking creative and organized application of this vision and mission of the Association.
Ignatian pedagogy, our own history and the challenge we face in educating children and young people make us demanding, above all by ourselves, to not settle for mediocre results and occasional, and we urge the renewal of our methods and updating the educational proposal.
